Legacy of Fear

LEGACY OF FEAR is a spine-chilling crime thriller, Jeanne (TERI POLO, Meet the Parents), a homicide detective assigned to identify and capture a copycat killer, who mimics the crimes of a savage murderer thirty years after his infamous reign of terror in a sleepy town.

1977 - Springfield, Massachusetts. Detective Don Joyce (STEPHEN SPENDER, Blade:Trinity) is dealing with a violent serial killer nicknamed BPS (Bound, Photographed, Strangled). By a horrific twist of fate, Joyce's wife Linda (JEAN NICOLAI, Flirting with Danger)becomes the 11th victim. Consumed by anger and grief, he kills himself six months later - leaving his young daughter Jeanne orphaned.

Thirty years on and Jeanne has followed in her father's footsteps, working hard to sustain his prestigious reputation. Her world is turned upside down when a series of murders are committed in exactly the same style as the BPS murders. It doesn't take long to convince her young partner, Fred Brampton (ANTHONY LEMKE, False Pretences), that they've got a copycat killer on their hands. As Jeanne delves further in to the psyche of the killer, with the help of the case file from 1977, she discovers a pattern that allows her to predict his every move. Jeanne's thoughts are never far from the man responsible for her parents death and the killer who now chooses to emulate him. The pressure of solving the case starts to take its toll.

In an attempt to keep her mind off the case, Jeanne agrees to go out for dinner with Val (ZACHARY BENNETT, Shattered City), the medical examiner on the case. Preoccupied and disorientated, Jeanne lets her guard down and a quiet dinner for two soon takes a terrifying turn. She then finds herself trapped in a violent and haunting reconstruction of her mother's murder. Her worst nightmare has become a terrifying reality, in which she must fight for survival against a serial murderer obsessed with recreating history.
