Lies and Deception

It's been five years since Jean Brooks (Madchen Amick - Twin Peaks, Four Corners of Suburbia) lost her husband Sam (Martin Thibaudeau - King's Ransom, Maman Last Call) in a freak boating accident from which his body was never recovered. Not a day goes by without Jean wishing Sam back; that is until Detective Oscar Ortuso (Tony Calabretta - The Wool Cap, Gleason) knocks on her door.

Ortuso tells Jean that her husband has just been found dead by the deserted Chicago waterfront with nothing but his medical bracelet. Shocked and confused, Jean tries to grasp what could possibly have been going on for the last five years. Had her husband faked his own death? How little did she know about him? Had he ever really loved her?

Jean hires the handsome Eddie Fate (Andrew Walker - Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Wicked Minds), a young ex-cop turned private investigator. A painful time for her, Jean tries to ignore the chemistry between her and Eddie as they work together to unravel the web of lies that her husband has left behind. When they hunt down Charlotte Porter (Ellen Dubin - The Collector, Napoleon Dynamite), Sam's wife during the five years since his apparent death, and Sam's best friend, Chris Schwartzman (Joseph Kell - Lies Like Truth, Port Charles) in Detroit, Jean and Eddie uncover an established pharmaceutical smuggling racket. Using Sam's expertise in the illegal cancer drug, 'Arzac' the trio had been making a fortune, but when Sam wanted out, things began to get dangerous.

Did Chris and Charlotte kill Sam? What was Sam doing back in Chicago near Jean's home? Will Jean ever know truth over her husband's death? A thrilling climax, leaving no one safe, brings this enthralling mystery to its exciting finale.
