Diane (Peta Wilson League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) & Rand are a carefree, young couple with everything going for them. But their ideal lives are shattered when they discover that Mitch (Stewart Bick Framed, Pretend You Don't See Her) , Rand's supposed friend and financial advisor, is a professional con artist who has swindled them out of millions of dollars - money that Rand, an ambitious CFO at a software firm, had secretly 'borrowed' from company funds. Exposed and humiliated, Rand commits suicide leaving the beautiful Diane with her life in tatters.

Alone, Diane starts out on a journey across the States to visit family in California; but when her car breaks down and she has no money to pay for repairs, she is forced to take a waitress job in a sleazy restaurant in Midland, Texas. It's a world apart from her previous life, tainted by a domineering boss and unfriendly colleagues; the one redeeming factor is her blossoming relationship with handsome deputy sheriff, Nando Lopez

But events take a sudden, chilling turn when Mitch, the disappearing con man, shows up in the restaurant. Scared and angry, Diane finds the local Sheriff unsympathetic to a crime that occurred in a different State. She decides to face her darkest fears and bring Mitch to justice herself by playing him at his own game. But will the hunter become the hunted? So begins a thrilling cat and mouse game that twists and turns to the final showdown. Can Diane turn the tables on Mitch or will her obsession for revenge make her his victim a second time?
