POWER TRIUMPHS AT RTS AWARDS

The Devil's Whore (International name -- The Devil's Mistress), the Power and Company Pictures lavish event miniseries for Channel 4 walked away with three top awards at last night's Royal Television Society awards ceremony, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Winning all three of its nominations, The Devil's Whore won awards for Best Drama Serial, Best Actress -- Andrea Riseborough, Best Writer -- Peter Flannery. The 4-part drama was the most successful programme of the night, hailed by judges as ""Bloody and brutal but equally inspiring and atmospheric...This was an exciting, muscular drama on an impressive scale. A joy to watch."

The Devil's Whore, which was one of Channel 4's highest rating mini-series of the year, is a dramatic tale of intrigue and lust in which we follow the trials and tribulations of one extraordinary woman. Angelica Fanshawe fights to better her own life in one of the most turbulent periods of English history. Starring Andrea Riseborough, John Simm, Michael Fassbender and Dominic West.
