Multi-award winning, independent UK producer and distributor Power is delighted to announce that they have been honoured with The Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade in an announcement by Her Majesty The Queen this morning (April 21st). Power has been recognised by Her Majesty for outstanding achievement in international sales and production, sustained over the last three years.
The Queen's award for Enterprise recognises and rewards the exceptional achievements of British companies and individuals in promoting enterprise and generating income from global markets. The Prime Minister Gordon Brown commented: "...this year's winners show just how much British business can deliver, and they should be justly proud of their success."
Inaugurated in 1966, the award has become the UK's most coveted commercial prize being the most prestigious corporate accolade that a UK business can win. Recognised internationally, it commands a high level of prestige for the winning company, distinguishes it as one of the UK's elite, and builds pride in the workforce. It also acts as a signifier of the winner's high repute to
existing and potential clients and partners.
Previous winners in our field are among the most respected and prolific media companies in the world, denoting the high standard The Queen's Award demands and recognises. Power is the first private, independent producer & distributor to win the accolade.
Chairman and CEO of Power Justin Bodle said: "I could not be more proud of what everybody has achieved at Power. This is an extraordinary accolade for an independent company and highlights the contribution that each and every person at Power has made."
This comes in the same week that Power was acknowledged by The Sunday Times PricewaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100 - Ones to Recognise feature. The feature showcases ten exceptional private companies selected by virtue of their steady profit growth, the strength of their management team, their innovation and challenges overcome.
